Almost all insects are able to bite or sting everything that they think disturb them, includes human. Hsv -1 causes infection of the mouth and lips,often called fever blisters or cold sores.a person with a cold sore fromHSV-1 can pass the virus to someone else by kissing. Herpes can be released from sores that the virus causes,but,it is also releases btw outbreak from skin that doesn't appear to have a sore.
